Job Description:
A company is looking for a Coding Specialist - Shared Support
Intake.
Key Responsibilities
Enter ICD-10 diagnosis codes and current medications into the
Electronic Medical Record (EMR) for new patients prior to
admission
Research clinical history and obtain relevant documentation for the
home care EMR
Develop working relationships with coworkers in the Intake
department and Home Health teams
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; continuing education in
a healthcare-related field preferred
Minimum six months of experience in an office setting required
Required coding credentials include HCS-D (AHIMA) or other
specified coding certifications
Preferred: HCS-D (AHIMA)
